Save a precious resource

Save a precious resource Wisconsin Public Television delivers valuable services to the people of the state.

Federal dollars are essential to leverage additional support from individuals, corporate donors, foundations and other non-government sources.

In December of 2005 Congress and the president approved a package of appropriations in latethat will help sustain the quality of Wisconsin Public Television. The package includes funds for the Corporation for Public Broadcasting, digital television, the satellite interconnection system, Ready to Learn and Ready to Teach.

Federal support for public television and radio amounts to $1.85 per person per year. In a recent survey by the non-partisan Roper research company, the American public called PBS the best use of tax dollars, second only to military defense.

If you have questions, let us know. And thank yuo for your continued support.

Malcolm Brett,
Director of Television
