Mike HellerMike Heller returns this season to the WPT team as the Badger football play-by-play announcer. Mike previously called games for Badger hockey on WPT. He is a 20-year sports broadcasting veteran. A 1987 graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh, he worked as a television sports anchor for 10 years, including stops in Rhinelander, Madison and Memphis. Mike brings a depth of play-by-play experience to WPT, including men's basketball and men's hockey on television. He is currently the women's basketball announcer for WIBA Radio.
Mike is also an avid golf fan and player. A PGA member, Mike has worked in the golf business since 1996. He has worked in Madison at University Ridge, Nakoma, and was the Head Golf Professional at The Springs Golf Club and Resort in Spring Green. Mike started his own business called AGES Golf, which designs and provides golf programs to school physical education programs throughout the U.S. and U.K.
Mike was a regular on Madison talk radio for 10 years. Among his credits, Mike hosted "The Barry Alvarez Show" and "The Bullpen" on Madison's ESPN Radio.
