At 10:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 31, Wisconsin Public Television's (WPT) Director's Cut “Halloween Special” host Charles Monroe Kane will interview William J. Meyer, writer and director of the film “The House That Jack Built,” a fairytale horror romance.
The program also will include clips from a previous interview with “The Medium” filmmaker Ben Wydeven and filmmaker Doug Gordon, director of the mockumentary "The Zombeatles: All You Need Is Brains.”
Immediately following at 11 p.m., Director's Cut Presents will feature four Halloween short films.
In "The House That Jack Built," Jack is building a new life with his wife along the edge of an idyllic forest. When a secret from Jack's past threatens to consume him, he must decide between deceiving his wife and losing her forever.
"The Life and Death of a Pumpkin" by Aaron Yonda and Matt Sloan takes a humorous look at the life of a jack-o-lantern.
In the suspense film "The Medium," a medium tries to discover the hidden secrets in an old rundown movie theatre.
"The Zombeatles: All You Needs Is Brains" recasts the story of The Beatles in an undead world.
