Lynne Blinkenberg
Director of Community OutreachWisconsin Public Television
Lynne Blinkenberg is director of community outreach for Wisconsin Public Television (WPT), managing statewide outreach and Ready to Lead in Literacy activities.
She oversees screening and facilitated discussion events, Ready to Learn in Literacy workshops for parents and childcare providers, and WPT's partnership in the Wisconsin BookwormsTM program for preschoolers.
Blinkenberg has directed national outreach initiatives for the Emmy Award-winning No Greater Love and A Science of Miracles, programs about organ donation, and the Almost Home documentary on aging. The Health Resources and Services Administrations, Division of Transplantation, at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services recognized her for outreach and promotion efforts for No Greater Love and A Science of Miracles.
Blinkenberg has chaired the National Educational Telecommunications Association (NETA) Outreach Advisory Council, and has been an outreach advisor for PBS' Frontline, P.O.V., Sesame Street and Caillou. She holds the Elmo and Ralph B. Rogers Awards. In 2004, she was named Outreach Professional of the Year by the National Center for Outreach and Outreach MVP by NETA.
