Fifth-Annual Quilt Expo Offers Premier Quilting Forum for Quilt Enthusiasts

At the fifth-annual Quilt Expo in Madison, quilters from all over the country will come together to peruse the artistry and diverse techniques of fellow quilters, and to learn and draw inspiration from quilting experts. The event, held in the Exhibition Hall at the Alliant Energy Center, 1919 Alliant Energy Way, Madison runs from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily Thursday, Sept. 10 through Saturday, Sept. 12.

Wisconsin Public Television (WPT) and Nancy Zieman ProductionsTM present Quilt Expo, which offers a 10-category juried and judged quilt contest, educational lectures and workshops, a 75,000-square-foot vendor mall with quilting supplies, gifts, notions and innovative equipment, and stage presentations that provide practical advice, tips and techniques.

Additional highlights include hundreds of quilts on exhibit, appearances by Nancy Zieman of public Television's Sewing With Nancy©, an on-site radio broadcast, a “Love Your Heart - It's Sew Important!” community service project, prize drawings and two limited-capacity evening events.

Admission is $7 in advance/$8 at the door. A two-day pass is $12. A three-day pass is $15. Admission allows entrance to quilt exhibits, stage presentations and vendor mall. Lecture, workshop and evening events are an additional fee. Parking is paid separately at the Alliant Energy Center entrance gate.
