United We Stand (1:06)
by Ashley

Is a crime done out of passion?
Or maybe today passion is a crime.

We walk by those who are lost, wounded, or hurt
Because we are too afraid to reach out.
Instead we rap ourselves in two questions. . .
"What is best for me, or how am I going to benefit?"

Will a broken heart be mended if it's broken?
Or does humanity love to see it bleed?
Does anybody really love?
Or are our spirits numb from bleeding for affection,
Compassion, or something so simple as understanding.

For the split second hate consumes,
We have already lost the battle.
Not the battle between right and wrong,
           Good and Evil,
But the battle of Standing United.

Don't ever let any breath be in vain,
But rather every breath be towards serving and lifting on another.

Because the difference will be one person,
One person can make a difference!
