Last November, the annual 4-H Arts Leadership Lab took place at Camp
Upham Woods in the Wisconsin Dells.
The Arts Leadership Lab is open to Wisconsin adults and youth leaders
in high school who are interested in leading activities in their clubs
and organizations.
Wisconsin's Poet Laureate Ellen Kort read her poetry and led a poetry
workshop.
As part of the Poetic License project, students from Shabazz and Memorial
High Schools in Madison presented their original spoken word poetry
to the group. Broken into various workshops, participants transformed
the poems into visual art, music, photography, and theatre.
