A Science of Miracles

A Science of Miracles discussion guide

Wisconsin Public Television led national outreach efforts for the spring 2008 broadcast of A Science of Miracles: The History of Organ Transplantation. Working with other public television stations, WPT helped to facilitate meaningful community dialogs about organ donation in cities across the country.

In Wisconsin, WPT partnered with The University of Wisconsin Hospital and Clinics Organ Procurement Organization (UWHC OPO) to distribute clips from the film and an outreach discussion guide to the state's over 500 driver education instructors. WPT also hosted a special premiere screening of the film at the Madison Museum of Contemporary Art and provided special collaboration with Wisconsin religious leaders to disperse information about organ donation to faith communities across the state.
