![]() Wisconsin PBS Kids is a great place for adults involved in the lives of young childrenchild-care providers, parents and grandparents—anyone who still loves the magic of Big Bird. It's easy to join Wisconsin PBS Kids. Attend a workshop and you'll start receiving our monthly newsletter. Sign up for Kids Club and your child (up to age six) will receive an on-air birthday greeting following Sesame Street.
Wisconsins entries were judged at each grade level. Each child who participated in the contest will receive a special Certificate of Achievement signed by READING RAINBOW host LeVar Burton. Also, first place winning stories at each grade level were entered in the READING RAINBOW national competition. Read the winning stories from this year's contest. The Reading Rainbow Young Writers & Illustrators Contest Guide (pdf file) is a step-by-step guide for children to follow as they produce their stories and illustrations. It was created by our good friends at Maine Public Broadcasting and has been endorsed by Nan Schweiger, national Reading Rainbow contest director.
