Wisconsin PBS Kids and you

Wisconsin PBS Kids is a great place for adults involved in the lives of young children—child-care providers, parents and grandparents—anyone who still loves the magic of Big Bird.

It's easy to join Wisconsin PBS Kids. Attend a workshop and you'll start receiving our monthly newsletter.

Sign up for Kids Club and your child (up to age six) will receive an on-air birthday greeting following Sesame Street.

The 14th-annual contest occurred from Jan. 1 through March 21. Children from kindergarten through third grade were encouraged to write and illustrate their own stories, and enter them in this year's READING RAINBOW Young Writers & Illustrators Contest sponsored by Wisconsin Public Television (WPT) and the Educational Communications Board.

Wisconsin’s entries were judged at each grade level. Each child who participated in the contest will receive a special Certificate of Achievement signed by READING RAINBOW host LeVar Burton. Also, first place winning stories at each grade level were entered in the READING RAINBOW national competition.

Read the winning stories from this year's contest.
