Wisconsin KidsGO! Video Contest Rules

The Wisconsin PBS KidsGO! Video Contest is sponsored by Wisconsin Public Television (WPT). The Contest is open May 20, 2009 through Aug. 31, 2009. (Based on the number of entries, WPT may opt to open the Contest again at a later date.)

HOW TO ENTER:

Visit www.wpt.org/kids and click on the "Show Us Your Stuff" banner/link. Click on the "Submit Your Video" buttons wich will take you to the submission form. Have your parents help you fill out the form. Be sure to select a category for your entry! Your parents must provide contact information and sign the form. Send an wisconsinpbskids@gmail.com with your Submission Form and video file attached. Video must be in avi, mov, mpg or wmv format. Video files may not exceed 10MB.

ENTRY CATEGORIES:

  • Live-Action Comedy
  • Live-Action Drama
  • Live-Action Suspense
  • Documentary
  • Animation or Stop Motion

CONTEST:

The Contest is open to kids age 12 and younger in WPT's viewing area only. Entries must be a maximum of three minutes (3:00) in length or less, and must be original video and audio. Video files may not exceed 10MB. Entries must have some relevance to a PBS Kids GO! program. If the connection to a show isn't obvious, entrant must include a statement such as "This video was inspired by a Fetch! Challenge." on the Submission Form.

JUDGING:

Entries will be judged on creativity, story clarity, relevance to PBS KidsGO! and overall impact. Judging panel will be made up of WPT Community Outreach and other staff. The decisions of the judging panel are final.

ELIGIBILITY:

The Contest is open to kids age 12 and younger in WPT's viewing area only. Children are not eligible if they're related to someone on the judging panel or someone employed by WPT.

CONDITIONS:

Entry materials become the property of WPT and may not be acknowledged or returned. WPT is not responsible for lost, late, damaged, misdirected or illegible Submission Forms or unsuccessful attempts to notify the winners. All materials submitted as part of the Submission Form and/or the entry must be the entrant’s own original work. All federal, state and local laws, and regulations apply.

By submitting a Submission Form, each entrant (and parent or guardian) agrees to be bound by these Contest Rules and the decisions of WPT are final. Entrant (and parent or guardian) agrees to release and hold WPT, their employees, officers, directors and representatives harmless from any and all damages, losses, claims, and/or liabilities arising out of participation in the Contest. WPT reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to terminate, suspend or otherwise cancel the Contest at any time.

USE OF INFORMATION:

Upon submission, each entry and the Submission Form become the sole property of WPT. By signing the Submission Form, entrant (and parent or guardian) agrees that WPT may use entrant's name and entry for promotional purposes and within the Contest. WPT does not sell, lease or lend its information to other organizations.
