The 2010 Garden Expo was held February 12, 13, and 14 in the Exhibition Hall at the Alliant Energy Center in Madison. This was the 17th annual Wisconsin Public Television Garden Expo and the event attracted 18,600 attendees.

Visitors chose to attend more than 100 educational seminars and demonstrations on gardening, lawn, and landscaping topics and enjoyed hundreds of different exhibitor booths in the exhibition area. Participants attended many hands-on workshops and learned new skills while creating an art piece to take home.

Wisconsin Public Television, Friends of Wisconsin Public Television and UW-Extension/Cooperative Extension Horticulture Team hosted the 3-day event. Participants walked through the custom garden display, attended demonstrations and seminars, registered for hands-on workshops, and viewed the many different exhibitors. Shelley Ryan, master gardener and producer/host of The Wisconsin Gardener series, greeted attendees along with UW-Extension experts, and Master Gardeners.

All show proceeds, including admission fee, support Wisconsin Public Television programming. Garden Expo also meets WPT's educational and community outreach mission.
