DTV | WATCHING WITH CABLE/SATELLITE
If you subscribe to cable or satellite...
You are good to go.
If you subscribe to a cable or satellite service, you will continue to receive broadcast channels after the Digital TV switch. You do not need to purchase an analog-to-digital converter box.
At this time, cable and satellite providers will deliver Digital TV signals to their subscribers at all service levels. You do not need to subscribe to a digital-level service in order to continue viewing WPT's Digital TV signal.
What Your TV Set Can Deliver
Keep in mind that if you have an analog television set, you cannot see true Digital TV. In order to view true Digital TV and enjoy all the attributes of digital television service, you must view television signals on a new Digital TV set. Similarly, in order to view programs in high definition (HD), you must be equipped with a TV set capable of displaying pictures in high definition.
If you subscribe to a digital package from your cable or satellite provider, you may have access to WPT's HD signal as well as our multicasting channels. Check with your cable or satellite provider if you have questions about your service.
