Manager, Major Gifts

Diane Agans is Manager of Major Gifts for Wisconsin Public Television. Acting as liaison for leadership donors, she oversees their annual, project, and planned gifts made for WPT through the Friends of WPT.

Diane began her WPT career in 1986 working in Programming as manager of WHA Cable 33 and assistant to the statewide WPT broadcast service. Since 1991, she's served WPT's development initiatives in statewide volunteer management, corporate fundraising, viewer services, and leadership giving. Prior to joining WPT, Diane worked in television production at a community access cable station in her hometown of Champaign-Urbana, IL.

Her interests in broadcasting and education led her to degrees from Indiana University (BA '82) and the University of Wisconsin (MA '98) as well as adjunct faculty positions teaching writing classes to adult learners and ESL instruction to youth.

Currently raising two children, Diane now looks at public television "with new eyes" and a rededication to the values of public broadcasting and its place in today's media.
