Tricia Yu, age 55, is director of the T'ai Chi Center in Madison, Wisconsin, one of the oldest and largest centers in the United States. She began her study of T'ai Chi in the Republic of China in 1970 with 90-year old Taoist Master Liu Pei Ch'ung. In 1972, she returned to the United States and began teaching T'ai Chi, Qigong and relaxation skills. She studies with Yang Style Masters Benjamin Pang Jeng Lo and William C. C. Chen, and is certified by Master Chen. She has taught over 4,000 students at her Center and has introduced T'ai Chi to thousands of others through public and private presentations.

Tricia is the creator of the T'ai Chi Fundamentals, a program that creates a bridge between eastern mind/body health principles and the western medical model. The first program of its kind, it provides a simplified approach for mastering T'ai Chi basics. She is also co-creator of the ROM Dance Range of Motion Exercise and Relaxation Program that integrates elementary T'ai Chi principles into a medical model therapeutic exercise and pain management program.
