Creating Health

In response to viewer interest and the national health debate, Wisconsin Public Television presents Creating Health, an ongoing educational initiative that addresses health issues important to Wisconsin residents. By integrating broadcasts, Web tools, and in-person events, Creating Health seeks to provide information to help guide individuals in making wise health decisions. Since the project's inception in 1999, WPT has implemented several components to fulfill this goal, including journaling tools, discussion groups, health fairs and television broadcasts.

Creating Health Goals

  • Explore important health issues facing Wisconsin residents.
  • Create and extend discussions about health and wellness throughout the state.
  • Connect Wisconsin residents through health-related discussion groups, broadcasts, and Web tools.
  • Provide health resources and information on air, in print, and online.
  • Empower Wisconsinites to become active participants in their health care.
  • Build upon broadcast programs with information oriented toward specific groups, in formats accessible to teens, adults and educators with streaming video, up-to-date health resources and links, as well as highlights from local health and wellness events.
