Wisconsin Public Television brings back Concerts on the Square®, featuring the Wisconsin Chamber Orchestra in performance on the State Capitol grounds in Madison.
The Wisconsin Chamber Orchestra's Concerts on the Square® is celebrating its 27th year in 2010. Led by Maestro Andrew Sewell, the Wisconsin Chamber Orchestra will perform six concerts from June 30 through Aug. 4.
This year, WPT is pleased to offer three broadcast programs of highlights from the following concerts:

Musical selections include the works of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Sergei Rachmaninov and Ennio Morricone.

This patriotic salute to America includes selections by Andrew Lloyd Webber, George Gershwin and Irving Berlin.

George DeMott, POPERAzzi! trio vocalist
Guest Conductor Michael Krajewski leads the orchestra in familiar favorites including a Frank Sinatra medley.

Each year, concertgoers arrive early to claim prime space on the Capitol lawn, turning the grounds into a sea of blankets. Balloons and picnic baskets decorate the Square. And then the music begins.
