Concerts on the Square

Summer 2009

Wisconsin Public Television brings back Concerts on the Square®, featuring the Wisconsin Chamber Orchestra in performance on the State Capitol grounds in Madison.

The Wisconsin Chamber Orchestra's Concerts on the Square® is celebrating its 26th year in 2009. Led by Maestro Andrew Sewell, the Wisconsin Chamber Orchestra will perform six concerts during July and August.

This year, WPT is pleased to offer three broadcast programs of highlights from the following concerts:

Each year, concertgoers arrive early to claim prime space on the Capitol lawn, turning the grounds into a sea of blankets. Balloons and picnic baskets decorate the Square. And then the music begins.
