An award-winning look at the year...

Be more Tuned In is proud to announce that WPT was the recipient of an award of merit last week from the Madison chapter of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA). The award was in recognition of the fine work on the 2005-2006 annual report.

Each year the annual report offers the opportunity for WPT to report back to its viewers, constituents and members about its work to educate, enrich and entertain throughout the year.

The 2005-06 version of the report is available here. It includes photos of families that consider WPT an integral part of their lives. There also are stories about how WPT's services have affected lives in Wisconsin, an outlook at future plans to broaden services, fiscal statistics, and recognition of personal and corporate donors to WPT.

Be a part of history...

Attention history buffs! WPT is going to be a part of this year's History Harvest in Green Bay. From 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 21 at the National Railroad Museum, WPT producers and other staff will be present to answer questions about the planned Wisconsin Hometown Stories: Green Bay program that is scheduled to air in fall 2007.

Producers Carol Larson, Mik Derks and David Hestad will be on hand to take your questions, discuss future local history programs and hear your ideas for the Green Bay program. They will be a part of a 10 a.m. presentation in the museum theater and will also be available for discussion throughout the day at the WPT booth.

Another fun part of History Harvest will be a collection of local historians who will be on hand to discuss antiques and historical artifacts that the public brings in. No monetary valuation will be offered, but you can learn about the local historical significance of your treasures.

The museum is located at 2285 S. Broadway in Green Bay.
