An award-winning journalist, Brancaccio has a long history in public media. After working on public radio's Marketplace, he joined NOW on PBS in 2003, where he has been host and reporter since Bill Moyers left the show.

We caught up with Brancaccio when he visited Madison for the Society of Environmental Journalists annual conference and he talked with us about his impressions of today's journalism, why public media journalism matters and the upcoming Copenhagen Climate Summit.
