PBS on your PC...

There is now a new way to enjoy many of your favorite national PBS programs on your PC. In recent days, PBS started offering full episodes of NOVA, Design: e2, Scientific American Frontiers, Carrier and WIRED Science at HULU, a streaming television Web site. Each program is offered in its entirety with just one brief advertisement that precedes it. Like you would see on WPT's airwaves, the program content is offered in its entirety with no commercial interruption and revenue from those advertisements will go to support other PBS programming.

These new online offerings create a unique opportunity for the show's fans to see some of their favorite episodes of the programs that haven't appeared on the air for years. One highlight includes NOVA's "Secrets of Lost Empires" series from 2000. One of Be more Tuned In's favorite offerings on the site is the "Hydrogen Hopes" episode from the Alan Alda-hosted Scientific American Frontiers.

And, for those looking for interesting local content on the Web, don't forget that many of the new programs from WPT's The Wisconsin Channel are archived online, too.
